“Tartan
Travels”
Finally,
something good will happen on a Friday the 13th ! It’s “Tartan
Travels” a celebration of Highland Dancing by the students of the
MacLeod of Lewis Scottish Arts Centre - and we hope you will be there.
The
numbers are being planned, the costumes being sewn and the tickets are
ready. So gather your family and friends and join us for the fun.
Friday,
June 13th at 7:00 pm
Port
Nelson United Church, 3132 South Drive, Burlington
Tickets available at the studio or by calling 905-335-6277
Pub
Night a Success
Thanks to all
who supported the spring Pub Night at the Naval Club. This fun
evening raised $770 for the dancers’ travel fund and will go a long
way towards sending our girls to perform at the Edinburgh Tattoo this
summer.
Costume
Fees
Please
check you records. Have you paid your costume fee ($30)?
We try to
keep costume costs to a minimum. These funds are used for recital and
performance costumes and remain the property of the studio. We
can then ensure that each dancer has an outfit for the recital,
performances, the start of their competition journey and dance-outs.
We want to
help you save to purchase a kilt you can use for years and not
have a closet of fluff that they will never wear again.
End
of Term & Summer Classes
The
regular term will end on Tuesday, June 17th. All recital costume
pieces should be returned by that date.
SUMMER
lessons for competitors, or those just wanting to dance, will be
each Tuesday & Thursday at 7:00 pm (beginning June 24th) and
Wednesdays at 11:00 am. These are open classes – everyone is
welcome.
Simply email
or call and leave a message at least 1 hour ahead to confirm your
attendance. Each class $10 .
